Description

What is a blind rivet nut?

A blind rivet nut is a metal threaded bushing with a collar that allows for a sturdy internal thread to be obtained in very thin sheet material, tubes or profiles.

The blind rivet nut is deformed using a manual tool, electric or a pneumatic gun for blind rivet nuts by pulling the internal thread away from the collar after this blind rivet nut has been placed in the provided hole in the sheet. Once the blind rivet nut is riveted, the threaded rod of the tool must be unscrewed. In this way, an internal thread can be provided "blindly" in thin sheet, in other words, without accessing both sides of the sheet. This makes it the ideal solution for pipes and profiles.

Many Deform-Nut's® are possible in stainless 303, from the 9201-XS type with flat head without knurling, the 9201/XZI open flat headed rivet nut type with knurling, the closed rivet 9204-X without knurling, the closed 9204-XZI rivet nut type with knurling, the 9203-XS type with reduced head without knurling, the 9203/XZI open rivet nut type with knurling and reduced head, the 9206-XS closed type with reduced head without knurling, the 9206/XZI closed rivet nut type with knurling and reduced head, the 9202/XZI open countersunk headed rivet nut type with knurling, the 9205/XZI closed countersunk headed rivet nut type with knurling, the open hexagonal flat headed type 10448, the open type E TC/TL very large flat headed hexagonal rivet nut, the open hexagonal flat reduced headed type 10447, the open hexagonal flat reduced headed type E TFM M12...to end with the E TFM/CH M12 type wich has a closed hexagonal version with reduced head.
