Description
This selftapping insert can cut it's thread in the pre-drilled hole thanks to the combination of the selftapping cutting bores and the special (non-metric) outerthread with smaller thread angle.
Best mounted in a countersunk and pre-drilled hole in materials with higher shearing
strength such as duroplastic material, aluminium, HPL and other composites. This is the ideal solution for innerthread repair in those materials.
The shorter version allows an installation in thinner panels and shorter blind holes.
This threaded insert can be mounted with a manual tool 512 or the mechanical version 515, both hold the insert at the innerthread, so that the outerthread can be screwed into the hole.
Available in steel zinc plated and stainless steel 303 from M4 up to M14!
