Stainless steel wood insert nut
The stainless steel wood insert nut is a threaded bushing with a metric internal thread M4 to M8 and a wood thread on the outside, which is screwed directly into the pre-drilled hole in wood. In this way, a reusable, wear-resistant internal thread is achieved that can be subjected to heavier loads and is still relatively short.

Description
What is a wood insert nut?
The wood insert nut is a metal bushing with a metric internal thread and a wood thread on the outside, which is screwed directly into the pre-drilled wood and thus allowing you to fasten for exemple thin panels without drilling through it and still obtain a strong fastening. The result is disassembled and cheaper transport of the furniture with a more decorative look .
The stainless steel wood insert nut is available from M4 internal threads to M8. The large external thread ensures powerful anchoring in the softer receiving material, which is usually wood. There are different versions; with drive slot and with internal hexagon drive.
Wood insert nut with or without collar
The stainless steel wood insert nut is available with and without countersunk collar, with slot or with internal hexagon drive.
Don't use screw-in wood insert nuts in exotic wood!
The stainless steel wood insert nut is not the ideal solution for exotic types of wood; for this we recommend the self tapping slotted inserts with cutting groove from M3 internal thread up to and including M20, which are also available from stock in stainless steel/inox 303 and 316.
