Short rivet nut
The open short rivet nut with flat head (type TC/C) and the version with reduced head (type TFM/C) Deform-Nut's® allows you to mount them in narrow spaces.
These are available in stainless steel 303 and steel zinc plating without knurling and can supply an M5 up to M8 innerthread in sheet thicknesses from 0,5 up to 3,5mm.
Description
How to mount a rivet nut?
First you choose the right grip range and the right metric innerthread for your application and then you get a manual or pneumatic tool for rivet nuts.
When you lazered or drilled the needed hole size for the short open rivet nut with flat or reduced head, you screw the rivet nut on the outer thread of the tool and pull back the innerthread towards the collar.
This way, the rivet nut will deform itself and grip the thin sheet.
The short Deform-Nut's® rivet nuts make it possible to mount these solutions in reduced spaces behind the sheet or in small tubes and profiles from 9,5mm and more.
The rivet nuts are available with flat collar as the TC/C model and as the TFM/C type with reduced head in M5, M6 and M8.
