Rampa self cutting insert, type ES can cut it's thread in the pre-drilled hole thanks to the combination of the selftapping cutting slot and the special (non-metric) outerthread.
Best mounted in a countersunk and pre-drilled hole in materials such as thermoplastics, cast iron, hard- and exotic wood.
This is the ideal solution for innerthread repair.
This threaded insert can be mounted with a manual tool 512 or the mechanical version 515, both hold the insert at the innerthread, so that the outerthread can be screwed into the hole.
Available in steel zinc plated, plain steel, brass, stainless steel 303 and even 316Ti from M2,5 up to M24!
