Mounting tools for screw-in inserts
Juno Industries: the right partner to find the most easy way to mount a self-cutting insert thanks to our 23 years of experience and our cooperation with Rampa.
How to mount a self cutting insert?
If you want to mount a Rampa screw-insert that doesn't have a hex or slotted drive, then there is a way to mount screw-in inserts without a proper tool. You simply take a bolt and 2 hexagonal nuts with that speciafic metric size and off you go!
For small quantities and/or very casual assemblies, you can also use the manual Rampa tool 512 in combination with a standard key. For professional mounting with a constant quality, the mechanical Rampa driver type 515 gives the fastest and best result so that the insert is mounted slightly underneeth the surfance of the application when mounted in a chamfered hole.
The slotted inserts can be mounted with a simple screwdriver, but that's not a stress free solution, we suggest the use a Rampa bit 507 to allow a rightmounting angle.
